Annierae's Christmas 2006

Well Annierae enjoyed a wonderful Christmas this year! Along with Mom & Dad, she was able to spend time with family & friends, and Annierae had a great time with all of her presents. We went to an early Christmas Eve service at our church, then off to Aunt Judy & Uncle Bob's for our traditional pizza dinner. Christmas day found us at our house hosting the whole family and everyone had a great time, especially with the white elephant gift exchange (sure to become a new tradition).

Michigan Won!

Yeah - the University of Michigan beat Michigan State today 31 to 13.

We're sure it's due to the latest addition to the U of M cheerleading squad...

Bethany 2006 Multicultural Festival

Annierae had all kinds of fun today at Bethany Christian Services' 2006 Multicultural Festival. She was able to reunite with several of her orphanage sisters who made the pilgrimage to Grand Rapids, Michigan for the event.

There were numerous activities including a petting zoo, cultural dances and plenty of good authentic international and domestic cuisine.

May Fun (2006)

Well Summer is in full swing, the weather is beautiful, the birds are chirping, the flowers are blooming and Annierae can't wait to play!

Here are a few more pictures of Annierae in action from the month of May, including another trip to the Meijer Gardens -- this time with Grandma & Grandpa! We also went for a fun weekend at our friends Art & Michelle's cottage. Annierae had another party with two of her China adoption sisters!

Baptism on Mother's Day!

Today was a wonderful day. Not only was it Kristine's first true Mother's Day, it was also the day that Annierae was baptized! And to make it all the more special, Kristine's parents were able to join us as they were visiting from Vermont.

We had a large contingent of our family present (including Auntie Sister, Sister Mary Lou & Sister Rosie) at Trinity Lutheran Church as Pastor Paul christened Annierae. It was a lovely service and Annierae behaved herself beautifully!

After the ceremony we all went to Sunnybrook for a wonderful brunch, then on to Aunt Judy & Uncle Bob's for cake. Annierae loved it all!

April Fun (2006)

April was a busy month for Annierae!

It began with a trip to Vermont to visit Grandma & Grandpa and the rest of the family. This was a solo trip for Annierae and Mommy, and our little traveler did extremely well on the flights.





Next came a trip to the Frederick Meijer Gardens with Aunt Pat. Annierae had a wonderful time and really enjoyed the attractions both indoors and out!



The weather finally warmed up a bit, so next was some outside time playing on the picnic table and in her new car!


Finally, Annierae had a mini-China reunion with two of her buddies from China. We had a small gathering at our house for two other families that traveled to China with us in November. The girls had a ball playing together and we all went to the Meijer Gardens later in the afternoon much to the delight of the little ones.
