Annierae's 2008 Cabo Trip

Well it's that time of year again, the annual trek to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico to visit Grandma and Grandpa V. Annierae had a great time again this year. She did great with the travel (even though we had MAJOR problems and delays both going and coming home). Daddy let her use a new gadget this year, his Apple iTouch which was fully loaded with all of her Disney movies. She did better traveling that most of the adult family on the trip this year. She spent much of the time in one of the 6 pools or down by the ocean soaking up the sun and fun. And of course Grandma and Grandpa were the ultimate hosts, providing lots of fun and an occasional sitter for mommy & daddy to get a little alone time (thank you Grandpma & Grandpa!!!). It was difficult to come back to the cold, snowy weather, as it was gorgeous and sunny with temps in the upper 70's the entire time we were there. Annierae is already talking about going back next year.

Ben & Jerry's

Day 4 of our trip to Grandma & Grandpa's included a tour of the Ben & Jerry's Ice cream factory in Waterbury, VT. Annierae had a great time taking in all the sights & sounds, but by far her favorite part of the tour was the tasting area. The flavor of the day was Mint Chocolate Chunk (Mint Ice Cream with Fudge Chunks) - and that is now one of Annierae's new favorite flavors.

Annierae in Cabo San Lucas 2007

Hi All,

Well Annierae (and family) made the annual trek to Cabo San Lucas Mexico to enjoy some fun & sun in the middle of Winter. Our little girl had a great time hanging out with everyone, swimming, watching (and talking non-stop) to all the people, swimming, eating, shopping, swimming, playing on the beach and oh- did I mention swimming?

She did great on the flights to and from Cabo, even though we left really, really early on the way there and didn't get home until really, really late on the way back (thanks to bad weather near Chicago).

All in all it was an enjoyable time for everyone and she's already talking about wanting to go back (especially to be with Grandma and Grandpa).

Annierae Goes to Mexico!

Annierae took her first international trip in early February 2006 since coming home from China. She traveled down to Cabo San Lucas Mexico with Mom & Dad, Grandma & Grandpa and Aunt Judy & Uncle Bob. She had a fabulous time! She did really well traveling on the two flights each way, although she got a little cranky on the last leg home as it was 11:00pm at night after traveling most of the day. She is definitely an outdoor girl, she loves the sunshine and loves a breeze blowing in her face. We also found out she loves water!!! We took her to one of the pools at the resort, and after her first few minutes in, we couldn't get her out! She was swimming underwater, blowing bubbles with her face in the water and jumping off the side and going all the way under water. It was a wonderful vacation for all of us and Annierae truly enjoyed herself. Here are a few highlight pictures (click on them to enlarge) form her adventure...
