11:43pm China
We're in China! We made it safe & sound and all things considered, the travels went extremely well. We're settled into our hotel room at the Beijing International Hotel (very nice - pictures below) and we're just getting ready to head off to bed.
(Blogging station)
(Tired, but happy!)
We met up with a majority of the other Bethany families in Tokyo, and we all traveled as a group to Beijing. Tomorrow is a free day to get acclimated to the 13 hour time difference, but we plan to go out and do some exploring. I promise we'll have more detailed information packed posts the remainder of the trip, just tough to do on travel days! So good night from China!
2:29am est / 4:30pm Tokyo
Well we made it to Tokyo! What looooooong flight. We're worried how Annierae will do on the way back. Neither of us got much sleep - probably too excited :)
We have a relatively short layover here. Flight leaves at 5:45pm Tokyo time, so we'll start boarding soon.
This will probably be the only day 2 post as we won't get into Beijing until late tonight, and by then I'm thinking Kristine & I will be ready for some much needed sleep.
Sorry for a less than exciting update, it's more to let everyone know that we're almost there. 2 Legs down, 1 to go - YEE-HA!!!!

It was so great to hear your voices this morning!! You both sound terrific. You have been constantly on our minds and in our prayers. We can't wait to hear all about your travels and impressions, but what we are most eager for is an updated photo of our little Annierae!!! I can't believe that in 3 more days she will be in your arms. Have fun and God Bless!!
Love,
Bob and Judy
Happy to hear you made it in one piece. I'm glad that we go directly from Chicago to Beijing. I'm not sure if I would want to get on another plane ride after the first one being so long. You're in our thoughts and prayers!! Get some rest and then let us know all about your "free" day. We're right behind you!!
Love Nancy
