08:30pm China
Greetings!! We had a busy day today, we started at 7:30 am with a trip to the Great Wall. The pictures we took just don't do it justice, it is truly spectacular. At first it felt a little cool when we got there but after climbing a few steps it was plenty warm. Let me clarify that we did not climb the whole way, we first took a gondola to the top section and were able to climb higher or descend.
I've posted a few photos, including some of the members of our group. We are traveling with a great bunch and everyone is enjoying themselves.
After the Great Wall, we took the bus to the Cloisonné factory which reminded me more of a school then a factory. There are several small rooms that the workers perform their crafts in and each room is set up for a different process in creating these beautiful pieces of art. Most of the workers are women and actually live onsite in dormitories.
In the evening we went to an acrobatic show that was amazing. The troupe is from the Sichuan Province and we were told that they start training the babies at the age of one to two years of age.
Tomorrow we visit the Forbidden City and take a rickshaw ride around the city. Then we have the afternoon to pack because we will be leaving early in the morning on Sunday to get our little Annierae!

I can hardly imagine the level of excitement you guys are experiencing right now as you are about a day away from meeting your daughter! You guys have done an awesome job at keeping us updated. This is so awesome, traveling around China with you. The pictures are great. I feel like it's almost "live" since you update every night. Can you make our computers beep and flash when the picture of you two and Annirae shows up??? I can't wait!!

I miss you guys! But am so happy that you are enjoying China and all the fantastic sites! Kristine I got your phone call and was soooo bummed that I wasn't hear to be able to talk to you! I'm going through withdrawals already.

Kristine and Greg - China looks awsome but, she is PERFECT!!!! and of course the cutest! We can not wait for you to hurry up and get home so we can meet her!!
